    Every Saturday- Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of Citrus Springs has a Saturday 4:30 PM Evening service for all who have to work on Sunday and can't attend. A variety of services will be offered including Evening Prayer, Holy Communion and Healing Services. All of the community is invited to attend and participate in these services. Hope is an open communion church believing that, "Christ is the host, and all are welcome at the table."

    Sunday August 25-- Eleventh Sunday After Pentecost - Services 8:00 am and 10:00 am Readings: Isaiah 58:9b-14 Psalm 103:1-8 (4) Hebrews 12:18-29 Luke 13:10-17 Prayer of the Day - O God, mighty and immortal, you know that as fragile creatures surrounded by great dangers, we cannot by ourselves stand upright. Give us strength of mind and body, so that even when we suffer because of human sin, we may rise victorious through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

    Sunday September 15-- Fourteenth Sunday After Pentecost - Services 8:00 am and 10:00 am Readings: Exodus 32:7-14 Psalm 51:1-10 (1) 1 Timothy 1:12-17 Luke 15:1-10 Prayer of the Day - O God, overflowing with mercy and compassion, you lead back to yourself all those who go astray. Preserve your people in your loving care, that we may reject whatever is contrary to you and may follow all things that sustain our life in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

    Sunday September 22-- Fifteenth Sunday After Pentecost - Services 8:00 am and 10:00 am Readings: Amos 8:4-7 Psalm 113 (7) 1 Timothy 2:1-7 Luke 16:1-13 Prayer of the Day - God among us, we gather in the name of your Son to learn love for one another. Keep our feet from evil paths. Turn our minds to your wisdom and our hearts to the grace revealed in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

    Sunday September 29-- Sixteenth Sunday After Pentecost - Services 8:00 am and 10:00 am Readings: Amos 6:1a, 4-7 Psalm 146 (7) 1 Timothy 6:6-19 Luke 16:19-31 Prayer of the Day - O God, rich in mercy, you look with compassion on this troubled world. Feed us with your grace, and grant us the treasure that comes only from you, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

     

 

Children Sunday School Class 9:00 AM Sundays Classroom 1,3 and 5

The Children Sunday School class meets from 9:00 am to 9:45 am each Sunday. The classes are open to children of all ages and includes stories told by Jesus, Puppet Show Preparation, Bible stories for today, and crafts. The classes are facilitated by Hope's Sunday School teachers and assistants.

Adult Sunday School Class 9:00 AM Sundays Classroom 2

The Adult Sunday School class meets from 9 am to 9:40 am each Sunday. The class is studying the Gospel of Matthew chapter by chapter. The class weekly follows this account of the life and ministry of Jesus. Matthew starts by tracing Jesus' ancestors back to the biblical patriarch Abraham and tells of his birth and life all the way through the climax of Jesus' sacrifice, victory, and commission to his disciples. The class is facilitated by Steve Northsea.
