The reign of Christ, - by Deacon Diane (Saturday 4:30 pm; Sunday 8 and 10 am)

Luke presents a different side of this reign: not thrones and palaces and places high and lifted up but a wooden cross and a bleeding figure held in place with nails-or a wooden box filled with straw that scratched an infant's tender skin; a garden of prayer; a table with friends and enemies alike, in a raging storm. "Today you will be with me." He said. He was and is; he reigns, exactly where he needs to reign. He reigns where you are, where the broken are, where the hurting and the hungry and the forgotten are. He reigns where people question themselves, their sexuality, their purpose, their value. He reigns.

We are saints - by Deacon Diane (Saturday 4:30 pm; Sunday 8 and 10 am)

We are called to be saints. A saint is someone who is set apart because of their faith. A saint is someone whose life is dedicated to the worship of God and the doing of God's will. A saint is someone who inspires in us the desire to know and follow Christ Jesus.
