Come to me? - by Deacon Diane (Sunday 8 am )

Listen to these words of Jesus: Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

The Sabbath - by Pastor Chuck (Saturday 4:30 pm & Sunday 10 am)

On the Sabbath you take the bread and wine and Jesus hugs you. The Sabbath is a day to give thanks to God for blessings, to give thanks to God for forgiveness, or we simply dance and say, Thank you God for life.

Which is better? - by Pastor Chuck (Sunday 8 and 10 am)

St. Paul wrestled. He said I don't know which is better - to stay here on earth and do the work that God is giving me to do, or to die and go to heaven. And then he said I think it is better for your sakes to stay here and do the work God has called me to do. St. Paul knew he would eventually die and go to heaven, but he also knew he was a servant of God right here and now and that because Jesus had come, lived, died, and rose again that the kingdom of God had already arrived here on earth. Now we are in that kingdom here on earth and God desires we do the work he is calling us to do.

God's Work, Our Hands - by Pastor Chuck (Sunday 8 and 10 am)

The Holy Spirit works with us to go together out into the world. That's what the Holy Spirit does. The Holy Spirit enables the church today to be the body of Christ and to go out into the world. The ELCA has it right, "God's Work, Our Hands."

Jesus prayed for this - by Pastor Dave (Sunday 8 and 10 am)

It is Jesus' desire that as we strive together as brothers and sisters in Christ that we may be one in Him, serving Him in the world, reaching out with our purpose being out there, dealing with one another with the same love that he has shown us. This way we will grow continually in His grace and His truth.

The Lord's continuing prayer for us - by Deacon John (Saturday 4:30 PM)

We who are present day disciples continue to be witnesses to the grace of God, to be with God, to have God in our lives, knowing that we are not alone, knowing that we are being prayed for, knowing we are being purified, knowing we are being watched over. We might get sick, we might have troubles, but we know that God is praying for us and in the end we know what the answer is. We ascend to heaven and are glorified by Jesus Christ.

He reclaims us and loves us again and again - by Pastor Dave (Sunday 8 and 10 am)

If Jesus is our friend, if indeed he has chosen us; then we in turn now choose to be with him. Now we must follow his way and his truth and light.

What kind of a friend are you of Jesus? - by Deacon Diane (Saturday 4:30 PM)

Loving Jesus isn't a matter of doing excellent things. It's a matter of delighting in an excellent Savior. Jesus says doing excellent things-keeping His word-is the result of delighting in the excellent Savior. Jesus said "If any one loves me, he will keep my word" So again I ask you, what kind of friend are you of J e s u s ?.

We are the good fruit - by Deacon John (Saturday 4:30 PM)

May God be gracious as His holy Spirit produces much good fruit through us. And may we be conscious of what God the gardener wants to produce. So let's not be the branches that fall to the ground and wither and get thrown in the fire. Let's be the branches that produce the good fruit.

We have a good shepherd that loves us - by Pastor Dave (Sunday 8 and 10 am)

Your duty as a Christian is to share the times when he led you into green pastures, guided you through the shadows, led you to still waters and walked with you in your troubles. All of that needs to be shared so that those other sheep can hear the call of the shepherd who loves them so that in our witness and in our sharing we not only remind one another that we have a good shepherd who loves us but we also call others that they too may know a celebrate the love of a remarkable good shepherd.

23rd Psalm- by Deacon Diane (Saturday 4:30 PM)

We are talking about shepherds, sheep and other animals. I have limited knowledge about sheep but do know a little more about beef. The big difference between beef and sheep, other than the actual body difference, is that sheep need to be led and beef are driven from behind. Cattle never see who is behind them. So tonight I will delve in to the 23rd psalm in abbreviation.
